AXA XL: 20 Grace Church Street, London 160,000 sq ft   Project Duration – 2009 to present

In 2009 AXA XL formerly known as Catlin relocated to 20 Gracechurch Street former Barclays bank headquarters.  Comprising of executive suites, meeting rooms, entertainment, core business and main reception over 11 floors.

We supported Artillery with their initial competition bid to Catlin which they went on to win.  We produced conceptional visuals of the ground floor showing how Catlin’s branding could be used to inform the design

We then worked with Artillery throughout the design process to its completion.  Visualisations of key areas were created to assist the client in understanding the space.  There were over 300 images created alongside 2 walkthroughs to ensure the whole consultancy team had a clear understanding and expectation of the delivered project.  This assisted the contractor to understand the complicated elements such as stairs, staff restaurant and VC suites and was a critical tool with gaining client approval throughout the design process.  This process took just over a year.

Over the next decade following the completed build we have been assisting in the evolving requirements of the of the office.  Which include new proposed staff facilities, wayfinding, design development, and new Covid office planning.
